About the role

We are looking for a Junior Compliance Analyst to work at the heart of Saolix Group's compliance work. You will help banks, payment providers and fintechs get the most from Saolix Eagle, the Compliance Hub, by reviewing screening results, writing clear case notes, and turning what customers ask into better guidance and training. A good first role for someone starting a career in anti-money laundering and know-your-customer work.

The mission

  • Review sanctions and watchlist screening results, and record clear, reasoned decisions
  • Help customers set up and test screening and onboarding checks
  • Write and update guides, checklists and course material on AML and KYC
  • Keep up with FATF guidance and Kenyan rules, and share what changes with the team
  • Feed what you learn from customers back to the product and engineering teams

What we are looking for

  • A degree in law, finance, business, economics or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Up to 2 years of experience in compliance, risk, audit or banking operations (graduates welcome)
  • A working understanding of AML, KYC and sanctions, or a strong wish to learn it (our free courses are a good start)
  • Careful attention to detail, and clear written English
  • Comfort with spreadsheets and learning new software
  • Based in Nairobi, or able to relocate

How you are rewarded

Pay is discussed with shortlisted candidates and agreed in writing.
