About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Developer to build Saolix Group's compliance software, from the screens people use to the services and data behind them. You will work in React, FastAPI, Go and PostgreSQL, directly with the founders, in a small team where your work reaches customers quickly.

The mission

  • Build web front ends in React
  • Build back-end services and APIs in FastAPI (Python) and Go
  • Design, query and look after PostgreSQL databases
  • Write tests for what you build, and take features from idea to release

What we are looking for

  • At least 3 years of experience as a software developer
  • Strong, hands-on experience with React, FastAPI, Go and PostgreSQL (the core skills for this role)
  • Experience building and running APIs and web applications in production
  • Care for correctness, testing and security, since our customers are regulated institutions
  • Comfort working in a small company, where you shape the product as well as build it
  • Based in Nairobi, or able to relocate

While the role is open and for up to twenty-four months after it is filled, so we can consider you for later roles, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
